Swallows FC chairman David Mogashoa has revealed what the process will be like for appointing a new assistant for Musa Nyatama ahead of next season.
The Soweto outfit finished in a comfortable eighth position on the DStv Premiership standings after a difficult campaign which saw Nyatama stepping in as interim coach when Dylan Kerr and Ernst Middendorp left the club.

Mogashoa recently confirmed that Nyatama will move from a player to a coaching contract by the start of next season and this will come with control of who will sit with him on the bench as assistant.
"Musa will get an assistant, but he will hire that assistant, not me. I want that assistant to be his assistant. So, people must not phone me for a job. They must phone him for the job. Remember Morgan (Mammila) was not his assistant. Morgan was the technical advisor. So, Morgan is still going to be hands on and he will also be on our Diski (Challenge) side because we want it to be strong," Mogashoa told the Siya crew.
"Our new model going into the new season involves the Diski team, because we need to get the players from the Diski side into the first team. The Diski players need to be part of the first team. The training sessions need to be the same, so that when they go into the first team, they just slot in there easily."
Mogashoa explained how important it is to give coaches an opportunity to work in the topflight, which is why they are putting their faith in Nyatama for next season.

"If you remember, we are a club that gives people chances. I remember when we were promoted, there was this thing that we should get rid of Brandon Truter because he does not have PSL experience. I said 'where is he going to get it?' People have to start somewhere. Even with Musa, people are saying we are risking and that Musa is not strong enough to coach a big club like Swallows. But I am saying, 'Where is he going to start?' He has done well and I believe he learnt a lot from the two previous coach (Kerr and Middendorp)."
