Earlier this season, there were beautiful scenes at Elland Road as it welcomed home one of its favourite sons, Radebe, ahead of a league encounter against Brighton Hove Albion.
With a single match to be played, though, supporters of the iconic English club will be feeling less joyful than they did that day.
On Sunday, the Whites will host Tottenham Hotspur in what is a must-win game. Leeds are currently 19th on the table, tied on points with 18th-placed Leicester City and two points adrift of Everton, who are 17th.
At the same time of their match, the Foxes will be taking on West Ham United at the King Power Stadium, while the Toffees welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park.
In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Radebe rued Leeds' disappointing result against West Ham United last weekend, but insisted he believes Sam Allardyce and his team can claim all three points on Sunday, although he notes their fate will still depend on other games.
"It has gone from bad to worse, you know, over the weekend. We were hoping Leicester (City) were not going to get anything (against Newcastle United), but it shows that when you are near the bottom, even a point counts. I think what we should have done in our last game against West Ham United, we should have at least got a point so it could at least give us a chance," he said.
"There is no doubt going into the last game against Spurs that we have to win, we have to win to stand a chance. It's going to a very difficult one. That's the thing as well, we're going to have to look at other results in other games and depend on them to favour us, which is highly unlikely. We are in a very difficult position. We didn't do ourselves justice in the last three games and it's a struggle.
"Again, we are going into the last game of the season [with the hope we can] save our status. But I have that belief, with Spurs not doing so well, at home in our last game, we should be able to get all three points in the bag and see what happens after that!"

Radebe is considered one of Leeds' most-loved club legends following his 11-year stint at the club between 1994 and 2005, during which he made 251 appearances across all competitions.
