In their final group-stage encounter of this season's iteration of the CAFCL, the Club of the Century managed to secure their passage to the quarter-finals after an emphatic 3-0 victory over Sudanese giants Al-Hilal.
Days after that match, the Blue Wave filed an official complaint with CAF stating that their players were victims of racist chants from Ahly supporters during the encounter.
They also claimed there were some unsavoury scenes from the Egyptian crowd while the game was going on.

CAF has, however, decided to take no action amid the allegations of racism, believing that Florent Ibenge's men have no grounds for that complaint.
The Egyptian Premier League table-toppers were still fined $20 000 (R387 788) for their fans throwing water bottles at Al Hilal players, and an extra $100 000 (R1.9 million) due to the lack of organisation and security for the match.
CAF's disciplinary committee sent an official letter, as per KingFut, to the Red Devils, which read: "According to subject 83 of the CAF Disciplinary Law, the host club is responsible for organisation and security inside and outside the stadium before, during, and after the match."
