New EPL Club Linked With Mane

Another Premier League club has entered the race for Sadio Mane's signature.

With Sadio Mane tipped for a Bayern Munich exit come the end of the season, a new Premier League side has reportedly entered the race for the Senegalese's signature.

According to 90min, Mane could be making a sensational return to the English top flight, with Newcastle United interested in prising the reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year away from the Allianz Arena.

At the beginning of the season, the 31-year-old ditched the Premier League after his eight-year stay in the division for the Bundesliga.

While the winger arrived at the home of the Bavarians as one of the best players in the world, his time with the Bundesliga giants has so far been clouded with injuries, inconsistent form and ill-discipline.

The German outfit has thus reportedly become disillusioned with the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations winner, and with the forward said to not form part of head coach Thomas Tuchel's plans for the club, Mane's time with Bayern could be coming to a premature end.

Despite his tumultuous 2022/23 campaign with the six-time European champions, though, the west African forward is not short of suitors, especially in England's top division.

Chelsea already has a reported interest in Mane, but now the Magpies are keen to bolster their attack with the 2018/19 EPL Golden Boot winner.

The Geordies look likely to end their 21-year hiatus from the UEFA Champions League next season, and will want to continue their ascendance in English football.

It is reportedly felt the acquisition of Mane could help them compete for the Premier League title and in Europe's elite club competition too.
