Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have responded to calls from fans in the country to sack Cristiano Ronaldo after he appeared to make a controversial gesture in his team's recent defeat.

Following Al Nassr's 2-0 loss to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday, the Portuguese seemed to be caught on camera grabbing his genitals in response to supporters chanting Lionel Messi's name in his direction.
His gesture has reportedly angered fans around the country during the holy month of Ramadan, with some calling for the division to expel the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Al Nassr, however, have attempted to play down Ronaldo's actions, telling journalist Muhammed Al-Enez that the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid No. 7 was, in fact, suffering from an injury in a "sensitive area".
"Ronaldo suffers from an injury. His challenge with Gustavo Cuellar, the Al Hilal player, started with a blow in a very sensitive area," Enez said, according to Goal.
"This is confirmed information. As for the fans' explanations, they are free to think whatever they want."
