Klate On Mpengesi: Sometimes He Acts On Emotion, But...

You'd think after getting sacked within just seven matches into the season, Daine Klate would have nothing good to say about Chippa United chairman Chippa Mpengesi, but the PSL legend gave an honest opinion which indicates that the relationship was not a mess.

Klate was given the opportunity to take charge of the Chippa first team by the ambitious chairman. It took only seven matches for the club, as Klate revealed in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma that he received a call past midnight, just hours after losing to Mamelodi Sundowns in the DStv Premiership.

Klate explained that he understands that Mpengesi can be emotional in the running of his business, which is why he holds no grudges against the chairman of the club.

"The chairman is a fantastic person. If you see him and you are in his company, he's got a good heart and you can't fault him for that. He is a nice human being. Obviously it's his business and his club, so sometimes he acts on emotion, but it's understandable, so you have to come from a place of understanding when it comes to the chairman," Klate told the Siya crew.

"I thought we had a good relationship and we still do, to this day. Nothing is personal in this game. He does amazing things out there, so I can't speak bad about him."
