After his exploits during the 2021/22 season with Liverpool, Mane's move to the Allianz Arena was met with much fanfare as many predicted that the Senegalese attacker would continue his ascendance in Bundesliga, however, the reality has failed to match the expectation.
An injury just before the commencement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has not helped his cause, but the 30-year-old has only managed 11 goals in 29 games. Mane even had a reported falling out with former Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann but now new boss, Tuchel, insists that the reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year will return to his best soon enough for Die Roten.
"I know him well from England. There's no question that Sadio is an absolutely top player," the 49-year-old said, as per the Daily Mail.
"He scored 20, 30 goals every year for Liverpool and was an absolute key player there. His quality is beyond any doubt.
"Even at his age, it always takes time to acclimate after a change of clubs. That can take time. There's no doubt about his quality and what it can bring us.

"It's about trust and patience so he can get back into the rhythm. A goal usually helps the confidence."
