After the Siya crew recently reported that Kaizer Chiefs were making another effort to sign Mdududzi Mdantsane from Cape Town City, it's understood that the Soweto giants are confident of securing the services of the former Baroka FC captain.

According to information received by the Siya crew, Amakhosi have made it clear that they want to have Mdantsane on board and they have been in contact with the Citizens to try to get the deal done by the end of the current campaign, so that he can join the side when pre-season starts some time in June.

Mdantsane was in fact a target for the Soweto giants during the January transfer period, but the deal did not go over the line as Amakhosi pulled out in the final stages before the window closed.

In February, the Siya crew reported that Amakhosi were going to make another move for the 28-year-old, as they were confident that they would be able to bring in the attacking midfielder to bolster Arthur Zwane's side.

Amakhosi are already planning for next season and are understood to have identified their targets for next season. The Soweto giants opened talks with City and a deal is on the cards for the midfielder to make a move to Naturena when the season comes to an end.

The likes of Cole Alexander, Austin Dube and Njabulo Ngcobo are facing uncertain futures at Naturena, as they look to build a strong squad to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns, who are closer to winning a sixth consecutive Premiership title. Mulolonwandau Mathoho and Khama Billiat look set to leave Naturena as the club starts making room for new players to join the club.
