Good News For Pirates Ahead Of SSU Clash

There is good news for Orlando Pirates ahead of their next match this coming weekend against SuperSport United. 

In recent matches, the Buccaneers have had to do without some of their key players in defence, owing to suspension.

Among the players who have missed some action in recent matches is captain Innocent Maela who was red-carded against Kaizer Chiefs, while Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi have had their respective one-match suspensions for accumulating yellow cards.

Having served his two-match suspension, Maela is expected to return for Jose Riveiro's side and to lead the team against SuperSport on Saturday.

After also picking a slight injury against Chiefs, Maela has resumed training as confirmed by the club.

Bucs have confirmed that defender Olisa Ndah has also resumed training after picking up a knock against Amakhosi.

The return of the team's top defenders will be welcomed by the technical team as Bucs aim for the next round in the Nedbank Cup after defeating Venda Football Academy in the Last 16 on Saturday.
