Erling Haaland has reportedly already decided where he will play his football next if he leaves Manchester City.
Man Utd 'Make Decision' On Greenwood Return
Halfway through his first campaign as a City player, it seems the Norwegian marksman already has an idea as to where will be playing his football should he leave the Etihad.
It has been reported that the 22-year-old has a €200 million (R3.8 billion) release clause in his contract with the Premier League champions that will be activated in 2024, and according to Fichajes, Haaland is hoping either Real Madrid or Barcelona will trigger it.
Despite having recently made the €60 million (R1 billion) switch from Borussia Dortmund to the Citizens, many of Europe's elite sides are still eager to add the striker in their ranks, especially after his 2022/23 campaign so far.
The Scandinavian has been in sensational form this season, having scored 31 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions for City, and is far ahead in the Premier League's Golden Boot race, but he is seemingly already looking ahead to his next challenge.
The same report claims that Haaland has chosen Spain as his next destination, so ElClasico rivals Barca and Real are likely going to be the protagonists in the race for the striker's signature once he becomes available.
Both Los Blancos and the Blaugrana currently have legendary centre-forwards in Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski, respectively, but given that the duo are 34 years old or older, both sides will be keen to inject some youth into their forward lines without compromising on quality.

Given Barca's current economic situation, though, it appears that Real could be in pole position to land the striker's signature.
