Shock Decision Made For Ronaldo Debut Against PSG

Shock Decision Made For Ronaldo Debut Against PSG

With Cristiano Ronaldo set to make his debut in Saudi Arabian football this week, reports suggest that a shock decision has been taken regarding the football icon's upcoming appearance against Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi 'Wanted' By Second Club In Saudi Arabia

Ronaldo signed for Saudi Pro League table-toppers Al Nassr at the beginning of January, but despite inking a deal with the Middle Eastern side at the start of the year, the 37-year-old marksman is yet to make an appearance for his new team.

That will change on 19 January, however, when the Portuguese forward is set to take centre stage for the first time on the Asian continent as he will feature in a combined Al Nassr-Al Hilal all-star XI that will take on French champions PSG in a friendly.

This comes after he had to serve a two-match suspension that was given to him while he was still plying his trade in the Premier League with Manchester United.

According to Marca, not only will this be Ronaldo's first game since making the move to the Arab nation, but the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will also be taking the armband and captain the Al Nassr-Al Hilal combined XI.

The match will mark the first time Messi and Ronaldo face each other since the latter's move away from European football, as well as the first time the Argentine will play against his long-time rival as a FIFA World Cup winner.

Official: Morocco Will Not Defend African Nations Championship Title

Ronaldo, meanwhile, is set to make his official debut for Al Nassr this coming weekend, when the league leaders take on Patrice Carteron's Al Ettifaq in the Saudi top flight.
