A report in the Daily Mirror describes the accident the Brazil international was in as "terrifying", an incident the winger himself recently seemed to admit caused him a great deal of shock.
It is said the former Ajax Amsterdam man crashed his BMW X6 in England on New Year's Eve, but luckily managed to avoid serious injury.
Antony, 22, joined the Red Devils in a big-money transfer at the start of the season and has since scored four goals in his first 15 appearances for the club.
After scoring in United's 3-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup on Friday, the player revealed he had been involved in an event that left him shocked.
"First of all, it's a feeling of joy, I'm happy to score again and especially at home," Antony told TNT Sports after the FA Cup clash on Friday.
"I've set some goals for me this season and it's good to score as soon as I've start to think of personal goals. But of course the most important is United's qualification.
"I also feel relieved as in the last few days I had a shock, but I prefer not to comment on what happened.
"It was a personal matter, really hard but I'm very grateful to God for putting this behind me now.
"Grateful to the club, to the players, to the manager to everyone that stayed by my side. It's in the past now,
"I'm happy to score and I hope to keep going like this because this is a year of a lot of achievements and wins."
Police were said to arrive at the scene of the accident near his home in Manchester, with Antony later passing a breathalyser test.
