Following the Lions of Taranga's progression into the Round of 16, videos have been circulating on social media, showing footage of the exuberant West Africans celebrating in carnival-esque style.

The drummers have brought the vibes to every Senegal game so far and will be sure to turn up against Gareth Southgate's English side this Sunday:

The beautiful instrumental sounds that emanate from the stands has proved to be a worthy 12th-man for Aliou Cisse's troops. After their win over Ecuador at the Khalifa International Stadium, the supporters partied on outside the ground:

A video that's doing the rounds on the Twitter timeline is of a Moroccan supporter dancing among Senegal's fans during yesterday's encounter against Ecuador. A wholesome moment that shows the unity of African fans on the world stage:

Papa Bouba Diop tribute

The fans, along with the Lions of Teranga, paid tribute to the late Papa Bouba Diop, who passed away on the day, two years ago.

Diop played 62 times in Senegal and famously scored his country's first World Cup against France back in the 2002.

A group of seven fans each spelt out 'Senegal' and painted their bodies in white and their national colours of red, yellow and green. On each of their backs, was the number 19, which was Bouba Diop's squad number for his country.

Goal scorer and captain Kalidou Koulibally led the tributes by having the number 19 on his armband. And the rest of the squad celebrated with the fans, to hold up banners, scarves and flags.
