Mamelodi Sundowns are in the heat of the kitchen. They have Bidvest Wits snapping at their heels in the league, they still have Orlando Pirates to overcome in the Nedbank Cup, and they are on the back foot coming off of a 1-0 loss against AS Vita of Congo in the Champions League. Which should they prioritise?
Supporters Club caught up with Mamelodi Sundowns superfan Mzekezeke to find out which was the most important facet of Sundowns season now that they have all this to balance.
"They are all very important, but CAF is very, very important," he said.
"We want to make history, and more importantly we want to make our own history, like Pirates."
He was unusually grateful to the team who are usually considered a nemesis of the Brazilians.
"We appreciate Pirates, they have sacrificed a lot and done a lot for South African teams in this competition," he added.
"We don't want to disappoint Orlando Pirates."
