Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune’s future at the Naturena-based club continues to be a subject of speculation.
According to our Siyagobhoza crew, Khune is yet to agree on a deal with Chiefs, as his contract expires at the end of June, with both Mamelodi Sundowns and arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates, said to be monitoring the situation closely.
According to our crew, Sundowns have made it clear that money isn’t an issue, which means it is only a matter of Khune telling them how much he wants.
If you could have a face-to-face conversation with the talented goalkeeper, what would you really advise him to do? Khune hasn’t denied any possible move away from Naturena as he would only say his future was in the club’s hands, when quizzed about his future at the club.
Brilliant Khuzwayo and Reyaad Pieterse have been doing a good job in Khune’s injury-induced absence for Stuart Baxter’s side that is yet to experience a defeat in the league after 18 games.
What do you think Khune should do? Go to Sundowns, where he can make the most money, join Pirates or stay at Chiefs?
Please advise Itu in the comments section below.
