Chiefs Seeking A Solution For Sam

"You know he was supposed to go out on loan at Magesi FC in January and it didn't work out. That was one way the team was looking at a way forward with him. They wanted to give Magesi a chance to keep him at the end of the season if they could have been happy with him but since he didn't join Magesi and still has a contract until June 2027, then they are looking at how they can part ways at the end of the season. He is one of the players who was not recommended by coach Nasreddine Nabi," the source told the Siya crew.

A second insider stated that Sam's injury, which he suffered from his time in Turkey, has further complicated his stay at Naturena.

"The injury came at the wrong time, and after that injury, the club signed Bradley Cross and now Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is also playing, and that is minimizing Bongani Sam's chances of playing, and apparently, that is why the club can't keep him until the end of his contract in 2027. They want to either sell him or release him depending on the demand and talks with other teams," the second source stated.

The 27-year-old former Bloemfontein Celtic defender has yet to make an official debut for the Glamour Boys even after recovering from his injury. Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment on the issue, but there was no response at the time of this report.
