A win has become a foreign word in Kaizer Chiefs' and they're supporters' dictionary, with the coach further stipulating that it has "become boring" to talk about the team's performances after the match against Ajax Cape Town at an empty FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
We spoke to a faithful Glamour Boys supporter, Max Tsiboli, to reflect on the team's poor run of form, as well as the changes he thinks should be implemented in order to turn the corner after seven matches without a victory in all competitions.
"We need two quality strikers, a central defender to pair with Mathoho and a central midfielder," Tsiboli said.
His thinking could be justified, given that Amakhosi have been firing blanks in the past few months, and have failed to claim a league win since the 20 February.
"I think the football gods are against Chiefs," he added.
"The only way to get a solution to this issue is by buying quality players during the off season.
"We do understand that the transfer window period is currently closed, but then there shouldn't be any excuses next season."
While many have been calling for coach Steve Komphela's head, Tsiboli is singing a different tune, pointing his finger at the club's management.
"We don't have to rush to fire the coach, we just need to ask him which quality players he thinks will bring in the results next season and we must see to it that the management buys those players."
In recent years, Chiefs have played some of their home matches away from their traditional venue, FNB Stadium. However, they have failed to fill the 90 000 capacity stadium, and with results currently not going their way, Tsiboli thinks they should continue with the rotation.
"I don't see any reason why we should play at the FNB Stadium for now if it's always empty. We must look for a place where the team will be supported, just like in Cape Town, whereby in those three fixtures we played there, we had more than 30 000 in the crowds," he concluded.
