A former FC Barcelona player has spoken about his ex-manager Pep Guardiola, saying he experienced "outrageous" times under the Spanish tactician.

Gerard Deulofeu, a product of the Blaugrana's famous La Masia academy, scored twice against Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend to help Watford progress to final of the FA Cup, in which they will play against Guardiola's Manchester City.
Having recently spoken about the former Bayern Munich boss' feistiness, Deulofeu has now insisted it is exactly that trait that makes his former boss so successful.

"About the aggressiveness of Guardiola, I was referring to the intensity that he puts in every session," he told El Larguero.
"He lives it very differently and what I lived through with him was outrageous.
"That's why he has achieved what he has, and for me, he is a special manager.
"I only had Guardiola as a manager for a little time, but he was the only one who tried to really explain things to me when I was young. Returning to play for him? Obviously, but it's a complicated option."
Deulofeu featured just twice under Guardiola at the Catalan giants, and has spent the majority of his senior career in England.

Since his arrival at Watford in July 2018, the 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and assisted a further six strikes in 34 games.
