Absa Premiership
Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v Golden Arrows
Date: 22 April 2019
Venue: Athlone Stadium
Time: 19h30
Kaizer Chiefs come up against their old mentor Steve Komphela when they clash with Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Komphela was at the Amakhosi helm for three trophyless seasons but is now in charge of Arrows, who will be looking to do the league double over their more illustrious opponents. Both sides were in Nedbank Cup semi-final action this weekend as Abafana Bes'thende were knocked out by National First Division outfit TS Galaxy while Chiefs stayed on course for their first piece of silverware in three years with a 4-2 victory over Chippa United. Komphela has done well since taking over at ninth-placed Arrows as they are now in with a chance of a top-eight finish after an indifferent start to the season. Meanwhile, Ernst Middendorp's side are in seventh position. The last time the sides met, Arrows prevailed 2-1 at home on the first day of December last year. Danny Venter is suspended for the men from Durban, while Kabelo Mahlasela is a major doubt after bursting a vein in his foot against the Chilli Boys. Here's how they line up:
