Eymael Slams Goalkeeper’s Attitude
Free State Stars head coach, Luc Eymael has slandered his goalkeeper, Badra Ali Sangare.
The goalkeeper came off the bench during Stars’ 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates in the final Absa Premiership clash at the weekend, with Eymael unhappy with the way the goalkeeper conceded the goal.
“Today when I see that we dropped to fifth place, on such a stupid goal… really… and when my goalkeeper didn’t recognise his mistake. I’m very unhappy, it’s very unprofessional,” Eymael said after the game.
“Everybody can (make) a mistake that is a human being, it is not a reason why you are a bad person. But I also, when I made a mistake when I was the goalkeeper, I said sorry guys, it’s my fault and when I see his reaction he was shouting and saying “where are the defenders,” he added.
The Ea Lla Koto head coach then went on to reveal that he is very disappointed in Sangare’s attitude prior to being brought off the bench, adding that he was busy on his mobile phone before the game.
“And you take 10 minutes to be ready when you are on the bench and the coach told you already in the changing room before the game, “why are you laughing like that, you joking with your phone. Are you focused?”
“National team goalkeeper from Ivory Coast, I am very disappointed about his reaction and his behaviour today,” he said.
