The Premier Soccer League award nominees were revealed this week, and TS Galaxy coach Owen Da Gama, has given his choice for coach of the season.
With just a few matchdays left, and the 2020/21 season drawing to a close, the nominees for coach of the season include Benni McCarthy (AmaZulu), Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena (Mamelodi Sundowns), and Mandla Ncikazi (Golden Arrows).
ODG says that he thinks AmaZulu FC coach McCarthy and Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Mngqithi both deseve the award for their sides' performances this season.
"Between Manqoba Mngqithi and Benni McCarthy. I think the two have done very very well. I think both of them they deserve it," Da Gama told the media.
Galaxy captain Given Msimango has selected his three best PSL young players for this season, naming Baroka FC midfielder Goodman Mosele and Kaizer Chiefs duo Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Happy Mashiane as his top three.
"I feel players like Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Happpy Mashiane and Goodman Mosele have played crucial roles in their teams," Msimango told the Siya crew.
"Especially for Kaizer Chiefs, it hasn't been an easy season for them. They had to rely on youngsters and they've proved their worth and for that I would give to them."
Mosele has been involved in almost all the games this season for Bakgakga, contributing to two goals, while Mashiane and Ngcobo have contributed to nine goals, with the duo earning 38 appearances.
