Swallows FC have appointed coach Simo Dladla as their new assistant coach and Joseph Makhanya has applauded the decision.
Dladla left Richards Bay FC on Tuesday and three days later he was unveiled as the new assistant coach to Brandon Truter at the Dube Birds and Makhanya believes it about time DStv Premiership sides move away from giving foreign coaches opportunities.
"I think Simo Dladla will definitely add something at Swallows, he has been coaching for a long time and they know each other very well from GladAfrica Championship," Makhanya tells the Siya crew.
"It good to see new faces in the DStv Premiership, it has been old same foreign coaches who don't add value in our football. They move from this team to another team, with nothing new and positve to add, so it's good to see coaches like Simo given a chance after a success in the GladAfrica Championship."
"There are so many young coaches like Simo, there are many like him in the lower leagues, it's just that they are not given fair chance."
