Masilela, who was in fine form for the Amakhosi last season, last played for Bafana back in October 2013 against Morocco, and since then has only been called up once, in January, though he had to decline due to injury
Other players that return to the national set up for the African Cup of Nations qualifying clash with Mauritania are Ronwen Williams and Daylon Claasen, both of whom haven't made the cut in a long time, while Mpho Makola has been handed his first ever Bafana call-up.
Williams hasn't played for Bafana since the 0-0 draw with New Zealand last year, with Claasen having now featured since the win over Spain in 2013.
Bafana face Mauritania on September 5th.
