SuperSport's Ronwen Williams Is Recovering From Injury

Ronwen Williams has been a notable absentee for SuperSport United since the CAF Confederation Cup final, with the goalkeeper nursing an injury that is keeping him out. Read: Chiefs' Worst Start To A Season Since 09/10 The shot-stopper played a vital role for Matsatsantsa as they clinched this year's MTN8 title and fought all the way through to their first-ever continental final, although was unable to help them to CAF glory as they were downed by TP Mazembe. Williams hasn't been seen in a Supersport jersey since the final last month, and it appears that he will be out until around February after dislocating his shoulder. Reyaad Pieterse has stepped into Williams' shoes for Eric Tinkler's side since his teammate's injury, and it appears that he will continue doing so into the new year as Williams looks to try and recover. SuperSport take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday in their final game of 2017, with Tinkler looking to see a four-game winless streak come to an end.
