Supabets: Senegal And Zim Battle It Out!

Supabets: Senegal And Zim Battle It Out!

Algeria take on Tunisia in their second Group B match. The Tunisians have a fully fit squad as compared to their opponents who have a few injury issues.

The match of Thursday evening is the encounter between Senegal and Zimbabwe. Both sides boast strong squads and it will be an interesting match to feast your eyes on.

Ivory Coast host DR Congo on Friday. DRC managed to secure a win in their first match while their opponents shared the spoils with Togo. The Elephants will be in search for their first win.

Algeria v Tunisia (AFCON)

FIFA rankings: Algeria 39th Tunisia 36th

Useful facts: With just one loss and two wins from their last five, as opposed to Tunisia's three losses and one win in that timeframe, Algeria are the team to back, especially considering the quality at their disposal. However, historically, the teams are evenly matched, with one win each and a draw being the results of their last three encounters.

David Booysen: Tough one. I think it'll be a draw.

Senegal v Zimbabwe (AFCON)

FIFA rankings: Senegal 33rd Zimbabwe 103rd

Useful facts: While Zimbabwe will take comfort in the fact that they are undefeated in their last five games, overall. They will be taking on a Senegalese team that have won four in that timeframe and lost just once. In the only previous encounter between the two, Senegal came out 2-0 winners, way back in 2006.

David Booysen: Another tough one! I'll go for Zimbabwe.

Ivory Coast v DR Congo  (AFCON)

FIFA Rankings: Ivory Coast 34th DR Congo 49th

Useful facts: With three wins and no losses in their last five AFCON matches and with the team remaining undefeated in five games in all competitions, Ivory Coast will be confident of grabbing a win against a wounded DR Congo that has lost two of their last five in all competitions. Historically, the Elephants also have their work cut out for them, with two wins and two losses from five encounters against their opponents.

David Booysen: Ivory Coast
