AmaZulu will be hoping to gain some much-needed confidence when they host SAFA Second Division side Tembu Royals in the Nedbank Cup on Wednesday.
Usuthu have endured a tough season so far, having spent the most part rooted to the bottom of the league table until a recent draw with SuperSport United allowed them to leapfrog Chippa United.
Craig Rosslee has seen improvement since taking over, yet they have still only managed one victory since the resumption of the league.
The coach has admitted that he will not be underestimating the Royals, though he did state that he would be trying some different combinations.
The visitors, on the other hand, have been on fire in their division with eight wins from their last 10 games as they top the table.
