Talented Maritzburg United youngster, Siphesihle Ndlovu, has been handed the prize of Absa Premiership Player of the Month for January.

The 21-year-old has been almost ever-present for the Team of Choice this season as he continues his rise through the ranks in South Africa and played a vital role as Fadlu Davids' side lost just once last month.
Ndlovu, who is considered a frontrunner for the league's Young Player of the Season award, grabbed three assists throughout the month of January and has now been rewarded for his form by winning a monthly award for the first time.

According to a statement from the PSL, the other players in contention for the gong were Orlando Pirates' Luvuyo Memela, Daniel Cardoso of Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits captain, Thulani Hlatshwayo.
Meanwhile, the other winners today were Pirates coach, Milutin Sredojevic, and Mamelodi Sundowns' Tiyani Mabunda as they won Coach and Goal of the Month respectively.
