PSL Promotion/Relegation PlayOffs Report: Moroka Swallows 2-0 Black Leopards 20 May 2015

PSL Promotion/Relegation PlayOffs Report: Moroka Swallows 2-0 Black Leopards 20 May 2015
PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs   Result: Moroka Swallows 2-0 Black Leopards   Date: 20 May 2015   Venue: Dobsonville Stadium   A brace from Vuyisile Wana handed Moroka Swallows a 2-0 win over Black Leopards in their PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off tie at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday evening.   The opening exchanges proved to be a cagey affair, as both sides were giving nothing away, while not really creating much as well.   Swallows saw most of the ball in the opening 20 minutes, although they were restricted to long range, none of which troubled Avhashoni Tshinuna in between the sticks.   Leopards were presented with an opportunity to open the scoring in the 26th minute when Siphelele Ntshangase picked out Matlakala, but the midfielder side-footed wide of the mark from 12-yards out.   Zeca Marques squandered another chance in the 30th minute, when Ntshangase skipped past a couple defenders before being thwarted by the on-rushing Sage Stephens.   However, it was the home side who broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute as an un-marked Vuyisle Wana turned home Sipho Mngomezulu's cross at the back post.   Craig Rosslee's side nearly added to their advantage just before the halftime break but captain, Lucky Baloyi, volleyed over from 12-yards out.   Ntshangase proved to be a real threat for the visitors and he nearly brought Leopards level in the 60th minute but his effort from distance sailed inches over the crossbar.   After a barren spell in the second half, Swallows eventually doubled the lead in the 80th minute, as Siyabonga Nomvethe played in Wana, who calmly slotted into the far corner for his second of the game.   Rosslee's men managed to see out the remaining minutes with relative and have now moved to the top of the Play-Off standings, with a better goal difference than Leopards.   Here's how they lined up:   Moroka Swallows: Stephens, Mngomezulu, Cohen, Isaacs, Lekgothoane, Hendricks, Phalane, Baloyi, Obada, Nomvethe, Wana   Black Leopards: Tshinuna, Matlakala, Nyirenda, Shivambu, Ntshangase, Mabotja, Mumuni, Madimba, King, Ndou, Mahangwahaya
