Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will want to show that they have turned the corner and aim to do well this season, according to football legend William Shongwe.

Shongwe, who played for both Bucs and Amakhosi during his time as a professional footballer, believes that Pirates could struggle against Chiefs, should Tendai Ndoro fail to make things happen for Muhsin Ertugral's side on the weekend.
Two powerhouses of South African football are gearing up for what is expected to be an entertaining first Soweto Derby of the 2016/17 season at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
"Right now, Pirates are one-dimensional and without Ndoro you can see they have struggled. Recently, you can see Chiefs are little bit on a high, but still they haven't played anyone that matters. This is the game that can put them high up there. For Pirates, despite the internal problems, I think they are still trying to find themselves. Pirates are looking for this game to turn their season around. Both teams are coming from difficult situations and they want to show that they have turned the corner," said Shongwe in the latest Soccer Laduma newspaper.
