It was reported by the City Press that Ertugral was involved in a 'secret' meeting with two high-ranking Bucs' officials in Johannesburg, on the eve of the game against Chiefs.
The Turkish coach was indeed involved in a meeting with some of the club's senior officials before the 2016/17 season's first Soweto Derby at the end of October
However, the Siya crew gathered from sources close to the club that the meeting was not a "secret" get together, but a normal technical meeting held before games - as is regular procedure.
On investigation, the Siya crew gathered that the two Pirates officials who were at the meeting were technical director Stanley 'Screamer' Tshabalala and administrative officer Floyd Mbele.
According to sources, the technical meeting had nothing to do with Ertugral's resignation from the position of head coach at Pirates last week.
As confirmed in a press conference last week by the club's chairman, Irvin Khoza, Ertugral resigned from the role of Bucs' head coach via email in the early hours of Wednesday morning last week.
