Orlando Pirates midfielder, Andile Jali, has passed his medical with Belgian club, KV Oostende, and can now complete his move to De Kustboys before Friday's deadline.
The Siya crew revealed earlier this month that Jali was on the brink of a move to Belgium, with Oostende's scouts having watched the midfielder in action during a couple of PSL games and been impressed, a move that was later confirmed by his new club.
At the time the crew explained that Pirates had been compensated for their loss, despite Jali having less than six months left to run on his deal at Parktown, though the actual transfer fee was unknown.
It has since been revealed that Pirates were paid around €1,000,000 (R15m) for the 23-year-old, who has since gone on to agree a three and a half year contract with Oostende.
The loss of Jali will come as a big blow to Pirates, who had been hoping to tie him down on a new long-term deal, although they will be buoyed by the fact that they have both Lehlogonolo Masalesa and Thandani Ntshuamyelo who are capable of stepping into the role vacated by him.
Jali left South Africa last Friday to undergo his medical with Oostende, and after undergoing extensive tests with the Belgian Pro League club, was passed fit today.
The midfielder's move, which will be completed Friday evening, will come as good news for the national team, with Bafana Bafana now having yet another one of their stars plying their trade in Europe.
