The Premier Soccer League has again released more information on the next phase of the resumption of the 2019/20 season.
A day after chairman Irvin Khoza announced August 8 as the official date for the return to football – the Nedbank Cup semi-finals to be played first, the league on Tuesday afternoon said there would be a draw for home teams before they make their way into the biologically safe environment (BSE) in Gauteng.
"Please be advised that the Premier Soccer League will hold a draw on Wednesday morning, 29 July 2020 to determine the home venues of all the 32 Member Clubs in the biologically safe environment (BSE)," read the statement.
The draw will be held at 10am.
Khoza also confirmed on Monday that fixtures will remain as they were from the time the season was halted by the Coronavirus pandemic in mid-March.
The league has selected 14 training venues and 11 stadiums for the resumption of the season, but fans are not allowed entry due to the current health and safety protocols.
Dates are: 8-11 Nedbank Cup, both the Absa Premiership and GladAfrica Championship restarts on 14 August until September 5, with the relegation and promotion play-offs to follow.
The Nedbank Cup final will bring down the curtain on the 2019/20 campaign. Kaizer Chiefs were log leaders in the Absa Premiership, while Ajax led the table in the second tier of SA football.
