Word reaching the Siya crew is that Maritzburg United have signed ABC Motsepe League side, Diphiri FC's attacking midfielder, Sheldon Van Wyk.
As reported by the Siya crew earlier, the 20-year-old was training with the Team of Choice for some time, and managed to convince Steve Komphela to offer him a contract.
Van Wyk's representative, Abel Shongwe, co-director at AbelSam Sports Management, confirmed to the crew that the player has joined Maritzburg.
"He has signed a three-year deal, with an option to renew. I would like to thank Maritzburg for giving Sheldon a chance," Shongwe told the crew.
Meanwhile, as reported by the crew earlier, Maritzburg have also signed Ghana international, John Paintsil and are nearing the capture of his compatriot, Mike Mohammed, who has already agreed terms with the team.
