Maritzburg United new assistant coach Maahier Davids has expressed his delight in reuniting with his mentor Ernst Middendorp.
The duo have enjoyed a good working relationship and Davids has hailed coach Ernst Middendorp as a very intelligent coach.
"It is good to be back home, familiar surroundings and it is good to see the squad has taken major steps in terms of infrastructure and facilities. It is good to be back," Davids tells club's media department.
"He is highly qualified and experienced coach, very good to work with and we have a good relationship. It is good to be reunited with him to finish what we started."
The Team of Choice survived relegation last season and now with a proper pre-season, Davids is expecting them to improve during the new campaign.
"It will be gradual progress, we will take one step at a time, you know. Last season was very unpredictable as teams couldn't have proper preparations. So now we will have proper preparation and we want to do better than last season," he added.
