Fomer AmaZulu and Golden Arrows midfielder Njabulo Manqana has sent a special request to KZN club bosses.
KwaZulu-Natal is undergoing a positive transformation period as they have four teams in the PSL for the first time and they all doing well.
A proud Manqana says having so many teams from the province can't be taken for granted and pleads with club bosses to try by all means to keep their best players so they can compete for bigger trophies.
"It makes me happy to see KZN teams doing well, we will now have more players in the DStv Premiership in the PSL, having four teams is not something small and (players) need to be protected," Manqana told the Siya crew.
"I just wish club bosses can now stop selling their best players to Gauteng teams because that is the main reason we haven't seen a trophy in the province for years.
"If we can manage players very well financially and their talent, we can manage to keep them so we can compete in for big things like AmaZulu FC are doing."
Manqana won the MTN8 with Golden Arrows in 2009 and is confident that if all KZN teams can finish in the top eight, one of them can definitely win the cup.
"I would like to see KZN teams finishing in the top eight. Imagine having all of them there, that will give them an advantage to win the trophy and I see that happening," he added.
