Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have both approached Bidvest Wits for an offer for one of their midfielders.
It has been reported in recent times that Pirates were showing a keen interest in Wits' Xolani Mlambo, however, it seems that the Soweto giants are now facing tough competition to possibly try and secure his signature.
As reported in this week's edition of Soccer Laduma, Siya sources have informed the crew that both Sundowns and Pirates have put in bids for the 26-year-old's services, in hopes of securing his services in the current January transfer window period.

Mlambo has seen minimum game-time this season, falling out of favour with the Students as they battle to move away from the relegation zone on the Absa Premiership league standings.
The player has made just four league appearances so far, and according to Siya sources, both Masandawana and the Buccaneers are looking to offer the player regular game-time.
With Wits already parting ways with the likes of Slavko Damjanovic and Steven Pienaar, it remains to be seen whether they will be open to the transfer of Mlambo to one of their Premier Soccer League rivals.
