Kurt Lentjies: There's A Lot Of Man of the Matches

Kurt Lentjies: There's A Lot Of Man of the Matches

Chippa United coach Kurt Lentjies hailed the collective effort of the side after securing a point away to Orlando Pirates.

The Chilli Boys held the Buccaneers to a goalless draw at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening and eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Lentjies was pleased with the overall result and the fact that there were no further injuries.

"Ja, obviously impressed we played in stages. We were very good with the ball especially first half. You know, we always knew we would get a chance here and there which we did and obviously its football they also got their chances," Lentjies told SuperSport after the game.

"But you know a point away from home we can accept it. I mean, we give full praise and glory to God you know. We walk away today with no injuries because the club has been suffering with injuries you know.

"We have got lots of injuries so all of my players are walking off the field today so we thank God for that and like I said we accept the point away from home. When it comes to grafting, working. I can't ask for more than what the guys have done today.

Lentjies also went on praise a number of players, including striker Bievenu Eva Nga who was a handful for the Pirates defence.

"I mean, there's a lot of man of the matches out there today. Even Eva Nga worked off his socks. I mean to play a position he is not used to and to drop in midfield things like that, you know that's the sacrifices we make for Chippa United and the brand and where we want to go forward to," he added.
