The Amakhosi are now on a barren run that has seen them win just one of their last 12 games, however they are still on track to finish inside the Absa Premiership's top four.
Following a disappointing season that will see the team finish with no silverware to their name, Komphela has promised that the team will be stronger in the new campaign.
He told the club's official website, "We will be going back to the drawing board. We will review this season and will come back stronger next season."
Meanwhile, Komphela congratulated the club's captain after the 31-year-old played his 300th game for the club in the 2-2 draw with Free State Stars, saying, "I am happy for 'Shabba'. He is a true professional and he deserves this accolade."
Chiefs' last game of the season takes place next weekend when they face Chippa United, and as things stand they can mathematically finish anywhere between third and fifth place.
