Amakhosi are expected to be relatively busy during the August transfer window as Coach Steve Komphela beefs up his squad for the 2016/17 season after what has been a poor campaign by Chiefs' standards in his first 12 months in charge.
While the club has reportedly contacted Chicken Inn regarding the services of the striking duo of Mitchell Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare, another Zimbabwean name has now also been linked to the club.
According to Siya sources in Zimbabwe, Amakhosi midfielder Katsande has recommended Muroiwa, a 27-year-old centre back, to the Soweto giants.
A Soccer Laduma source in Zimbabwe told the Siya crew that Chiefs representatives have enquired about the player, though nothing has materialised since.
"Willard Katsande recommended Elisha (Muroiwa). He will be a free agent and, if he does join, it will be in July as Chiefs will have to open up their foreign quota, which is full at the moment," said the source.
It is unlikely that Chiefs will prioritise the central back position for the time being, with Coach Komphela seemingly covered in that department.
