"It's historical," Motaung told the media. "It's historical for Shell to be, (for) the first time, involved in football, and also for us (Chiefs), to be playing a tournament with Sundowns, our own tournament with Sundowns, it's historical. "And I want to thank both the president of Sundowns (Patrice Motsepe) and the chairman of Kaizer Chiefs (Kaizer Motaung) for allowing this to prevail. "I think it's good for both clubs as we all know that this time around we also need to come back with a bang, come back with a strong character in the league, so this type of a game will help us boost our confidence coming into the league and show what we are made of for the next season."
