The Amakhosi, who beat Polokwane City 4-1 tonight, have been on top of the table since beating Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 in their third game of the season back in August, and have managed to maintain their position ever since.
Chiefs (12 titles) have now put themselves three titles clear of rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns (9 titles) in the overall rankings for the South African league since it began in 1971.
Also, the Glamour Boys have got themselves level with Pirates in the PSL era, claiming their fourth title since the 1996/97 season, however they are still two more shy of Sundowns' six league triumphs.
This win is Stuart Baxter's second league title since moving to Naturena in 2012, and to date he has a win percentage of over 61% with the Amakhosi, winning 76 of his 124 games in charge.
The highlights of this season for the Amakhosi fans will be their 13-game winning streak in all competitions at the start of the season, as well as the 19-game unbeaten run in the league that set them on the way to claiming the Absa Premiership trophy.
