Orlando Pirates can still compete for a trophy this season, according to the team's defender James Okwuosa.

With the Buccaneers having missed out on two trophies already this season in the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout, Okwuosa believes that the club can still finish with a cup from the two that are left for the 2016/17 campaign.
However, with Bucs currently sitting in 11th place on the Absa Premiership log with only four wins after 20 games, it is unlikely that the league title is one of the trophies Okwuosa is talking about.
Pirates have advanced to the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup, following their win over ABC Motsepe League side EC Bees last weekend. Kjell Jonevret and the team will have to go all the way in the prestigious competition if there is to be any realistic chance of winning a trophy this season.
In his interview in edition 1014 of Soccer Laduma, the Nigerian centre-back has discussed the importance of winning trophies for Pirates.
"We have to score goals and not concede and we have to win trophies. I think we have a quality team that can compete for a trophy this season. We have good goalkeepers, good defenders, midfielders and strikers. We must work hard and if we are currently 100 percent in terms of the work rate, then we must make it 150 percent. That is the only way we can achieve our goals. We can't expect our opponents to take it easy on us," the former Chippa United player said.
