The Premier Soccer League confirmed that almost R1.5m will be given to the prize winners at this evening's awards, with the big winner taking home R250k.

Tonight's event will see the best player of the season crowned in Johannesburg as the curtain is drawn on the 2017/18 season, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United likely the among the winners as the most nominated teams.

Just under R1.5m will be given away in total across the tournaments in South Africa, with all the nominees eager to get their hands on the gong and – no doubt – the cash that comes with it.
