Former PSL outfit, Hellenic FC, are planning to re-launch their club after purchasing the franchise of a Castle League side for the new season.
The club's official Twitter account confirmed that they had indeed bought out a franchise and would be back playing in South African football.
It said, "It gives us great pleasure to announce the we have officially purchased a Castle League franchise and will be playing in it this season. #HFC"
The 'Greek Gods' sold their own PSL franchise back in 2004 to Premier United and in 2011 bought Blaauwberg City FC as head coach, Mark Byrne, looked to recreate the club that had so much success in the Western Cape in the pre-PSL era.
Hellenic will now be eager to start their climb up the leagues in South Africa and reclaim their place in Mzansi's top-flight in a few years time, unearthing some talented youngsters along the way.
