Gustavo Paez Is Linked With Another PSL Club After Failed Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Deal

Gustavo Paez Is Linked With Another PSL Club After Failed Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Deal

Venezuelan striker Gustavo Paez has labelled Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila CEO Sello Chokoe as 'useless', this after the Limpopo outfit terminated his contract before he could even kick a ball in an official match for the team.

The Siya crew has seen the letter from TTM to Paez stating that his contract had been terminated due to a contract with his previous club, Mineros de Guayan, in Venezuela.

The PSL newcomers cited reasons for the termination, which included the player's previous contract, which was believed to end on 31 December 2020, as well as their 'inability' to obtain a clearance certificate.

However, the Siya crew has it on good authority that Paez has his contract in hand, having received it on Thursday afternoon.

"I explained everything to Sello but I think that man is useless. I asked him if he is going to make a request (to the Venezuela Football Federation to get the clearance) and he said that he was going to book a flight ticket for me (to go back home). Just like that!" Paez told the Siya crew.

"The termination letter was sent to me at midnight (Wednesday) on WhatsApp. He didn't phone me or come to talk to me face to face. I am still here now in the hotel in Louis Trichardt and I am still waiting to see what's going to happen next, but they have already made the decision. I also don't want to stay here now with people like Sello," he said.

News reaching the Siya crew is that the 30-year-old player's representatives have made contact with AmaZulu about a potential deal, though nothing has been yet been finalised with the ambitious Durban-based club.
