Greg Etafia Hopes Moroka Swallows Finish In A Better Position

Veteran Moroka Swallows goalkeeper, Greg Etafia, is hoping for a change of fortune for the Dube Birds as they prepare for the new season. The Nigerian who has been a loyal servant since joining the Soweto side in 2003 as a teenager, told the Siya crew that things are looking good at their pre-season training which has given him hope that the team will do well in the new season. "Swallows have been my second home and it was hurting when things were not going our way last season, but I expect a change of fortune in the new campaign," said the Nigerian. "So far so good things are going well for us. There are players who are being assessed by the technical team and those who have joined us. I cannot say a lot about them as only the coach has that authority and surely he will make announcements once everything has been completed. "I think no one among us enjoyed seeing the team going through a bad spell, so we are all working hard to help the team get back to their best," he added. The Birds have so far signed veteran left back, Tsietsi Mahoa formerly with Bloemfontein Celtic, Kaizer Chiefs duo of Lucky Baloyi and Philani Cele who comes on a loan deal as well as Kevin Ade Omondi signed from Kenyan side, Gor Mahia on a two-year contract.
