After parting ways with former coach Duncan Crowie, Santos have promoted one of their coaches, Ayoob Gester, to be the new Head of Youth.
The People's Team haven't had the best of seasons in the NFD since their relegation from the Absa Premiership, and when Crowie left to join their city rivals, Ajax Cape Town, they had to move fast in order to find his replacement.
Goolam Allie, the club's owner, didn't waste time in finding the right man, promoting Gester from the club's youth structures to head their development system.
The club are thought to have appointed Gester because he has been loyal to them for a long time and has a good understanding of the team and the way that they work.
Santos are adamant that the coach is the ideal person to lead the youth programme and help mould stars for the future.
