"What we know now is that it's a club from France. The first interest was from Belgium but this one is from France. There is nothing much we can say at the moment but each and every day there is interest in Stanley and at one point Chippa United will have to let him go. So let's wait and see at the end of the season. But it's believed the interest is high from this French club," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second insider disclosed that scouts from the French club closely monitored Nwabali during Nigeria's qualifiers where they picked up four points from two games.
"They have been monitoring him even during the recent games in the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. It's because of the interest and enquiry about Nwabali, Chippa are looking at signing another goalkeeper for next season. Whether he leaves or not, the club is preparing for a replacement when he finally goes," the second source revealed.

The 28-year-old AFCON star who also serves as Chippa United's captain, has been a crucial figure for the Chilli Boys. This season, Nwabali has featured in many league games, following a strong showing last season too.
Despite news of the growing interest, Chippa executive director Lukhanyo Mzizi insists the club has not received formal offers.
