South African football legend, Doctor Khumalo, has wished Oscarine Masuluke the best of luck for his nomination for the FIFA Puskas Award.

The Baroka FC goalkeeper's goal he scored against Orlando Pirates last season has been shortlisted among the best three goals vying for one of the most prestigious awards in world football.
Masuluke's spectacular bicycle kick in the final minutes of the 1-1 draw for Baroka against Pirates last season has been shortlisted alongside the goals by Deyna Castellanos (Venezuela Women's U17) and Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) for the 2017 FIFA Puskas Award.

In his column in edition 1044 of Soccer Laduma, Doc Khumalo confirmed that he is backing Masuluke to win the award.
"It brings me a lot of joy to know that our goalkeeper, Oscarine Masuluke's goal has made the cut for the last three FIFA Puskas award nominees. It is great news for South African and the continent's football. It shows that anything is possible in this game. If you don't commit yourself to your craft, you won't go far. This game is all about who wants it the most. Congratulations to Oscarine and I wish him all the best. I hope he will get all the votes he needs to win this award," said Khumalo.
