Newly appointed Chippa United coach Dan Malesela says he has to tread carefully on his mission to get the Port Elizabeth outfit out of danger on the DStv Premiership log.
Dance, as Malesela is known in football circles, will be in charge this afternoon in his first match on return to the Chilli Boys against SuperSport United at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, and he says the aim is to get the team out of danger before thinking about the top eight.

"First, we have to get ourselves away from where we are now. Once we have done that, we can start thinking about the top eight. Obviously, when you get yourself away (from relegation zone) it means you get to the top eight but at least we have to accumulate a few points that will see us away from the relegation zone then we can plan for the top eight," said Malesela, speaking to the media this week.

"(About) SuperSport and Golden Arrows, I don't want to be ahead of myself because of the respect that one must have for other clubs. Our first game will tell us where we are because you can have players at training and be impressed and think that yes you are there until you play your first match. So, I'm treading very carefully here because I want us to be disciplined first so that the players can be disciplined. We need to approach this club (SuperSport) with respect and see how it goes," the coach added.
